Representatives of the studio Ubisoft announced that they plan to move away from the AAA-projects model to shareware games. This became known from the report on the results of the third financial quarter of 2020. The publisher expects long-term support for older releases, free games to play a large role in its revenues.

In plans for 2022, Ubisoft has three AAA projects, however, in the future, the studio will focus its efforts on older games and shareware projects. This was stated by the CFO of Ubisoft Frederic Duzhe in his speech.
