Tetsuya Nomura, Game Director of Kingdom Hearts, in a recent interview with Famitsu revealed that he is hard at work on "something" ahead of the game's anniversary day. In 2022, the project will turn 20 years old.

Nomura said in an interview that the Kingdom Hearts team is working on something new, and he himself has already switched to thinking about the next project.
