A photo of a packet of Doritos chips appeared on the Internet, which shows the name and logo of the new part of the game. Based on the photo, the new part will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops with the subtitle Cold War. The first details about the game's plot also began to appear.

Based on the name, it can be understood that the events of the game will take place during the Cold War, and also affect the Vietnam War. In total, Cold War will have 13 missions, during the passage of which the player will visit the territory of the USSR, Nicaragua, Vietnam and Germany. Also, the game is expected to return old characters, in particular Woods, Mason, Hudson and others.

Despite the details of the plot, it is not yet clear whether the game will be a spin-off of the series or a full-fledged restart. The trailer is likely to be unveiled on August 5, during the Warzone season change. The estimated release date is October 5, 2020.
