Meet the New Faces of Genshin Impact 4.7: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos Join the Adventure!

Genshin Impact Version 4.7 is set to introduce three new characters—Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos—as the game transitions out of the Fontaine era. This update is expected to continue enriching the game’s mechanics, following the innovative gameplay elements introduced in previous patches.

During the earlier phases of Fontaine, characters like Lyney, Neuvillette, and Wriothesley showcased the Hit Point fluctuation mechanic, with Neuvillette emerging as a standout on-field character. This gameplay dynamic was further developed in Version 4.2 with the introduction of Furina, whose abilities enhanced the interaction of this mechanic with established characters such as Eula and Hu Tao.

Version 4.6 will debut Arlecchino, who will usher in the Bond of Life mechanic that will be further explored with Clorinde and Sigewinne in Version 4.7. Clorinde is expected to serve as an on-field character similar to Arlecchino, while Sigewinne is anticipated to function as a healer with significant on-field capabilities, akin to Kokomi. Additionally, Sethos, a Sumeru character and a 4-Star Electro Bow wielder, will make his first appearance in Version 4.6 during Cyno’s second Story Quest and will continue into the next version.

The upcoming update will also advance the Dainsleif storyline, likely connecting it to the newly introduced underwater ruins of Remuria introduced in Version 4.6. This suggests a deeper exploration of the game's lore and environment.

Although some players were disappointed that Sigewinne wasn’t announced as a 4-Star character—given the scarcity of 4-Star Hydro options—the potential for her to enable the Bond of Life mechanic could significantly enhance the utility of Clorinde and Arlecchino, especially in teams that rely on characters like Zhongli for shield support.

Further details about Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos are expected as beta testing for Version 4.7 commences on April 24, 2024, promising new strategies and deeper gameplay interactions for Genshin Impact players.
