Major players withdrew 15,477 BTC worth $260,827,576

Cryptocurrency experts found a transfer in the amount of 15,477 BTC in the transaction history. Some of the institutional investors apparently faced circumstances that required large outlays. One could also assume the loss of the seed phrase, which the attackers probably took advantage of, however, large investors usually take all precautions to protect their funds.

This can negatively affect the value of bitcoin. which is now at $16,850. Since December 16, the flagship digital asset has been showing enviable resilience and low volatility, as a result of which it has been in a sideways movement.

The price of BTC was in the range between $16,900 and $16,400. At the same time, it should be noted that the main digital asset reached the $16,400 mark only twice for a short period, after which it again rose to $16,500-$16,700.

Some experts are of the opinion that 2023 may turn out to be less positive than most crypto enthusiasts expect. Probably, such a transfer of a sufficiently large amount can start 2023 with a drawdown of the main digital asset.

It is noteworthy that the commission was only $36.67 for such a transfer.

It is also possible that the institutionalists simply withdrew funds from the exchange to hardware wallets in order to protect themselves, however, soon a major player may make itself felt and sell the asset, which will squander the value of BTC.

At the moment, the total supply of Bitcoin is 19,254,275 coins. A transaction of 15,477 is 0.080382% of the total emission of the flagship cryptocurrency, which is quite a serious indicator by the standards of bitcoin.
