FURIA will perform at Six Charlotte Major 2022 from Mexico City

The Brazilian team FURIA will perform at Six Charlotte Major 2022 from Mexico City due to problems with obtaining visas to the United States. At the same time, there are fears that a similar fate will overtake other teams from Brazil.

The day before, Jaime Padua, FURIA CEO and Twister roster coach, announced the team's inability to attend the Six Charlotte Major 2022 in person after being denied US visas. Instead, FURIA will compete from Mexico City, as tickets to Mexico have already been bought.

It is currently unclear if three other Brazilian teams will face the same problem as FURIA. However, there is a possibility that they will not be able to get permission to enter the United States in time.

Previously, GorgoNa, representing the colors of Heroic, had similar visa problems. Although the Bulgarian esportsman eventually completed all the necessary paperwork, he noted that Ubisoft has a back-up plan in case someone fails to make it to the Six Charlotte Major 2022 venue.

The group stage of Six Charlotte Major 2022 will be held from May 16 to 18. Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will form the playoff bracket. In turn, the final stage of the championship will be held from 20 to 22 May.

Six Charlotte Major 2022 will be held from May 16 to May 22 in the American city of Charlotte at the Charlotte Convention Center. 16 teams from all over the world will compete for an unannounced prize pool and ranking points at the tournament. Note that the championship will be the first for the discipline with a live audience since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
