Rumor: PlayStation 5 may acquire a Lite version

According to the portal 3dmgame, Sony may borrow the idea from the Xbox with the implementation of a more stripped-down version of its game console. The two previous PlayStations also had versions that differed from the starting models in more compactness, but this time the PS5 may acquire a model that will be inferior in performance to its older model, but will offer users a more modest price. Recall that Microsoft released two versions of the Xbox at once: Series X and Series S.

Sony has not commented on this information in any way and so far refrain from making any statements.

According to experts from 3dmgame, the so-called PlayStation 5 Lite may go on sale in the second half of 2021, but at the same time did not talk about how the PS5 Lite will differ from its predecessor. Notably, the lite versions of the PS3 and PS4 were subtitled Slim, not Lite. The latter was used only by the PlayStation Portable.

PlayStation 5 was released on November 19 in all countries.
