A new animated short from the Genshin Impact universe, titled "The Song Burning in the Embers," has recently unveiled more about the background of the highly anticipated five-star Pyro character, Arlecchino. Introduced in 2022, Arlecchino is a key figure among the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, serving the Snezhnaya Archon Tsaritsa.

In the unfolding Fontaine arc of Genshin Impact, which has introduced numerous new characters, Arlecchino emerges as a central antagonist. It is revealed in the storyline that Arlecchino oversees the House of Hearts orphanage, a place instrumental in the upbringing of several prominent Fatui members, including The Knave.

The latest animated release on Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel explores deeper into Arlecchino's complex past. The video starts strikingly with Arlecchino holding a funeral for a spider, a scene that resonates deeply with fans especially after leaks hinted at a spider-inspired boss phase for her. The short also depicts a poignant moment where Arlecchino confronts and kills a red-haired individual who was once a childhood friend. The video quickly captivated the community, amassing over 400,000 views in just a few hours, with fans commending the detailed and evocative storytelling.

Further developments in the short include Arlecchino's triumph over a previous Harbinger, who managed the orphanage before her. This victory led to her being offered a managerial role by Pierro, the Director of the Fatui.
