Cloud9 says goodbye to former VALORANT coaching staff

North American esports organization Cloud9 has decided to say goodbye to its former VALORANT coaching staff. As a result, the club thanked vexel and vapen for their cooperation, and also officially removed MoonChopper, who led the women's team, from his position.

As we get closer to the start of VCT 2023, we would like to thank and wish the best to our trainers vexel, vapen and MoonChopper as they move on from Cloud9 to their next chapters.

Leading our youth division and helping both Cloud9 rosters through 2021 and 2022, our teams wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you vexel.

By joining us in 2022 as an assistant coach for both Cloud9 rosters, we will miss your understanding and daily battles with ranked demons. Thank you vapen.

First joining our family as a strategic coach for Cloud9 White and then rising to the position of head coach, you led the team through a dynasty. Thanks MoonChopper.

While vexel joined the Cloud9 coaching staff at the end of 2021, vapen became part of the club last summer. Together they managed to take fourth place at the VCT 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier and also reach the Red Bull Home Ground #3 final.

In turn, MoonChopper worked with Cloud9 White for a very long time, with whom he won all the major championships of the past season, with the exception of the final VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship (4th place).

As a reminder, Cloud9 has become a partner of Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem along with Sentinels, 100 Thieves, NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports and KRÜ Esports.

The next challenge for the North American team will be the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, which will take place from February to March in Brazil.
