WatchinU Steps Down as Gen.G Esports Head Coach
Multinational esports organization Gen.G esports has announced the departure of WatchinU as head coach of the PUBG roster. The South Korean specialist led the team for four years. At the same time, the coach made a huge contribution to the achievements of the team during this time.
Today we announce the departure of the head coach of WatchinU by mutual agreement of the parties. He has been an integral part of the Gen.G Esports team since 2017, guiding us through successes and failures. We are sincerely grateful to him for the dedication and effort he has shown towards the players and the organization over the years.
WatchinU led the Gen.G Esports roster in the summer of 2018. During this time, the South Korean specialist led the team to many victories, including PUBG Korea League 2019 - Phase 2, PUBG Global Championship 2019, Esports Japan-Korea Intercounty Play, PUBG WEEKLY SERIES: EAST ASIA Phase 2, Battlegrounds Smash Cup Season 6 and Battlegrounds Smash Cup Season 7.
In addition, under his leadership, the team got into the TOP-3 at the end of PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021, PUBG WEEKLY SERIES: EAST ASIA Phase 1 and 2022 INCHEON CHALLENGE CUP, and also performed at PUBG Global Championship 2021 (10th place) and several seasons of the PUBG Continental Series.
