Closer to the classics - matches in Overwatch 2 will be played in a 5 vs 5 format

The Overwatch 2 developers said that they slightly changed the PvP component of their title, and in fights, players will now fight in a 5v5 format. This decision was made due to the peculiarities of the new maps that were developed by designers and game designers.

If Overwatch was full of action, then in the sequel they will have to be replaced by a strategic component. The creators of Overwatch 2 said they wanted to take it to a whole new level. Not to be unfounded, they showcased new aspects of gameplay during the broadcast.

Overwatch 2 debuted at BlizzCon 2019 for the first time with a full story-driven single player campaign and more PvP modes. In February of this year, information appeared that the development of the game, although it is underway, but the title is far from the moment of release, since the game will not be released until 2022.
