Boston Uprising makes key personnel changes
Representatives of the Boston Uprising esports club have announced that Chris 'HuK' Lorenger is no longer a part of the Boston Uprising esports club. He stepped down as president. Vytis 'Mineral' Lasaitis, who previously served as assistant general manager, will temporarily take his place.
Effective today the Boston Uprising have decided to part ways with President & General Manager Chris 'HuK' Loranger. Chris has been the face of the Boston Uprising since inception and we are grateful for his ontributions to the team. While this was a difficult decision, the Boston Uprising and Oxygen Esports hold competitive viability as our north star and believve this change is best for the long-term direction of the organization. We wish Chris all the best in his future endeavors.Movisg forward, Assistant General Manager Vytis 'Mineral' Lasaitis will operate as Interim GM as we look to readdress our roster and build for the future.To our fans, thank you for your continiued support. HuK's career as President of Games at the Boston Uprising began in August 2017. He previously played on the professional scene as a player from August 2016 to August 2017 with the Toronto Esports. Chris is also known for his work in StarCraft II. His appearances in SC2 took place between 2010 and 2017. For all the time he earned $150,000.
Now Boston Uprising are taking part in Overwatch League Season 2022 Midseason Madness. In the western division category, they are ranked 10th in the group stage standings, far from the top 8. However, the team still has a chance of reaching the playoffs of the off-season championship with a prize pool of $1,000,000.
