One of FPX Esports players got banned for participating in fake matches
Zhou 'Bo' Yang-Bo was banned by Riot Games for playing match fixing in the second division of the LPL. Bo revealed in February that when he played for eStar Young at LDL 2020, he was forced to participate in match fixing. The cybersportsman confessed to what he had done, took the initiative and cooperated with the investigation. In this regard, the initial blocking period should be six months, but has been reduced.
After such an incident, the league management decided to conduct an in-depth review of the players, team coaches and even the management staff of the 43 roasters participating in the LPL and LDL. Upon completion of the check, two TT Gaming players were banned from performing on the professional stage, and Sheng Jie Gaming was completely removed from the LDL by the entire roster. Details of the violations were not disclosed.

The league organizers are now going to develop some stringent standards that will identify fake matches in the bud.
FPX Esports signed Bo earlier this year. He managed to play five matches in the spring season of the Chinese Premier League, but after the scandal he was suspended for the duration of the investigation. Now, instead of him, Yang 'Beichuan' Ling, who was previously listed in the team as a reserve forester, is playing on the Chinese roster. Most likely, he will continue performing with his teammates for the rest of the season. Banned Zhou Yan-Bo may return to FPX Esports no earlier than July.
