League of Legends T1 roster became the most popular team in 2022
The well-known analytical service Esports Charts presented statistics on the most popular esports teams in 2022 by analyzing the total number of hours of viewing. The leader was the T1 roster in the League of Legends discipline, whose matches collected 112.9 million hours, and the average number of viewers at the team's matches was 675,000 people.
In their report, Esports Charts representatives noted that the data does not take into account the performance of Chinese streaming sites. In addition, the rating takes into account the statistics of squads in different esports disciplines.
On the second line is the RRQ Hoshi Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team. The meetings of this team collected 88.2 million hours and 750,000 viewers on average.
Next comes the Natus Vincere team from the CS:GO discipline, with 74.4 million hours watched. At the same time, the maximum mark of the total number of viewers of 2.1 million was reached during the match between NAVI and FaZe Clan at PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

Fourth place went to the DRX team playing in League of Legends. The Worlds 2022 champions collected 69.2 million hours watched, and the average number of viewers per match was 477,000 people.
On the fifth line is the FaZe Clan CS:GO roster, which collected 60.1 million hours of views and attracted an average of 261.9 thousand viewers to their matches.
The following teams also made it to the TOP 10 (from sixth to tenth places, respectively) — ONIC Esports (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang), Gen.G Esports (League of Legends), EVOS Legends (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang), G2 Esports (CS:GO) and DWG KIA (League of Legends).
Thus, League of Legends is represented by four teams at once (T1, DRX, Gen.G Esports and DWG KIA), except for the mobile direction Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. All this speaks of the high popularity of the discipline and esports in general in South Korea.
