YamatoCannon steps down as Fnatic head coach
British esports organization Fnatic has announced its parting ways with YamatoCannon. The 26-year-old Swedish specialist has been the head coach of the League of Legends team for the past two seasons.
After two years in black and orange, today we say goodbye to YamatoCannon. For all the epic speeches. Unforgettable sense of style, unsurpassed charisma. For two years that brought us to the top. Thanks for everything Jacob.
YamatoCannon took over the Fnatic roster at the end of 2020, having moved from SANDBOX Gaming. For two seasons, the 26-year-old Swedish specialist helped the team get into the top three at LEC Summer 2021, LEC Spring 2022 and LEC Summer 2022, as well as take part in the 2021 World Championship (14th-16th place) and 2022 World Championship (9th 10th place).
This is not the first change to Fnatic's roster since the end of the season. Last week, the British organization said goodbye to its support Hylissang - a 27-year-old Bulgarian esportsman has been playing for the team for five seasons. However, Hylissang quickly found a new home by joining MAD Lions.
