The legendary Faker is the main star of the South Korean League of Legends and, in combination, the cornerstone of the T1 roster. Lee's cooperation with the club began in 2013 with a subsidiary of SK Telecom T1 K.
The “Unkillable Demon King”, as Faker is called in the League of Legends community, became a player of SK Telecom T1 K in February 2013. In the same place, the midlaner won his first world championship – the Season 3 World Championship.
Faker later moved to SK Telecom T1, which later developed into T1. There, Faker established himself as one of the best players in the history of League of Legends, winning Worlds 2015 and Worlds 2016, as well as advancing to the finals of the 2017 World Championship.
In the “new formation”, T1 Faker became the LCK champion twice: Lee Sang-hyeok won the LCK Spring 2020 and LCK Spring 2022. The last tournament before the re-signing of the contract was Worlds 2022, where Faker, along with his teammates, took 2nd place, losing in the final DRX with a score of 2-3.
