Viper returns to Hanwha Life Esports after two seasons with EDward Gaming
South Korean esports organization Hanwha Life Esports has announced the strengthening of its League of Legends roster by signing its former player Viper. Recall that the 22-year-old South Korean botlaner played for the team at the end of 2020, but spent the last two seasons with EDward Gaming.
We are happy to announce that Viper has rejoined Hanwha Life Esports. We salute the Viper botlaner who won the world championship and has excellent aggression. Please look forward to the new Hanwha Life Esports story that will unfold alongside Viper next season.
Viper did not gain fame during his first tenure with Hanwha Life Esports, after which the esportsman moved to EDward Gaming. Here, the 22-year-old South Korean botlaner became the champion of LPL Summer 2021, 2021 World Championship and LPL Regional Finals 2022, and also got into the top three at the end of LPL Spring 2021 and LPL Summer 2022.
In addition, he recently managed to reach the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Championship, where Viper, along with EDward Gaming, lost to the future winner - DRX.

In turn, the Hanwha Life Esports organization recently made a serious shake-up of its roster, relying on the failure of the past season. In particular, the club said goodbye to Cheoni, Karis, OnFleek, SamD, Vsta and Willer, but retained DuDu's top liner and coaching staff. Probably, Hanwha Life Esports will build its new roster taking into account the wishes of Viper.
Updated Hanwha Life Esports League of Legends roster:
- DuDu
- Viper
- Kezman (head coach)
- SuDal, DanDy and Key (coaching staff)
- Bibra (analyst)
