LCK Summer 2022: T1 and DRX suffered their first defeat in the group stage
Yesterday's Korean League League of Legends matches have come to an end, and based on their results, the only favorite of LCK Summer 2022 was determined, which was Gen.G Esports. SANDBOX Gaming beat DRX yesterday, and T1 failed to take two maps against Freecs.
SANDBOX vs DRX
The confrontation between SANDBOX and DRX began with Prince choosing Zeri, which showed an excellent performance. It ended with 13-1-4 on the first map. The confrontation between SANDBOX and DRX lasted 27 minutes on the first map and ended with a score of 20-11 in favor of SANDBOX Gaming.

The second map went according to a different scenario. There, DRX has already modified their approach to the game somewhat. There was no obvious dominator in their team, and the team played a good team game, which allowed them to win in 41 minutes. Nevertheless, with a small margin from his teammates, the carry DRX Deft finished his fight, performing there on Kalista. The overall score on the scoreboard after the confrontation was 13-5 in favor of DRX.
The third map repeated what we could see on the first, but with one change. This time, a ton of impact was brought into the game by Kael, a support of SANDBOX Gaming. He did not make a single kill and died three times, but helped his teammates kill opponents thirteen times. Given that SANDBOX made 15 kills throughout the game, this result is very good. The third map ended with a victory for SANDBOX in 31 minutes with a score of 15-9 in their favor.

T1 vs Freecs
The first map marked the beginning of the match, which initially followed a predictable scenario. T1 came into the match as the clear favorite. And quickly held a meeting on the first arte. It ended in 28 minutes with a score of 10-8. After that, the teams moved to the second.
In the second map, the fans of both clubs expected, most likely, another quick (or not so) victory from T1, but the Freecs showed the power of teamwork. Working together, the players defeated their opponents in 31 minutes with a scoreboard of 12-2 in their favor. Support Teddy, who played on Senna, became perhaps the most valuable player, who took part in 10 kills out of 12 made in the entire game.
The third map put an end to this confrontation, not in the way that many spectators of the match expected. T1 started the fight quite confidently, made the first kill, broke the first tower and nothing boded trouble, however, the top lane player from Freecs Kiin, who played on Gnaar, was able to farm well and make a strong contribution to the team's victory. The map was the longest and ended in 39 minutes with a score of 19-10.
Match statistics
This turn of events made Gen.G Esports the main favorite, as this team is so far the only one that has not suffered a single defeat.
