Chiefs Esports Club announces roster for 2022
Chiefs eSports Club is the League of Legends esports organization. In August 2014, Team Immunity left its organization and formed Exodus Gaming, later renamed The Chiefs eSports Club. Their original roster included Swip3rR, Spookz, Swiffer, Raydere and Rosey, and this five-member roster has become the longest-running active roster with no replacements or changes in team history without interruption for 608 days. The streak ended in May 2015 when Rosey left the team to join Sin Gaming and was replaced by EGym. Despite the roster change, the Chiefs remained the best in their region throughout the 2015 season, with OPL wins in all four split periods, including 2 playoffs. Internationally, they fared worse, finishing fifth at the International Wildcard Invitational in April and second at the International Wildcard Qualifier for Worlds. In 2016, the Chiefs finished second domestically for the first time in the first split of the OPL, but still lost to Legacy eSports, which finished first in the playoffs, and returned to the IWCI again. They then qualified for the IEM Challenger at IEM Season 11 - which saw their first competition against teams from major regions - but lost 2-0 against Longzhu Gaming despite Swiffer's outstanding performance as Orianna.
2021 did not become an outstanding year for Chiefs Esports Club, taking part in the first split, LCO 2021 took the 3rd place in the playoff stage, with a prize money of $ 5,000.
