Gen.G Esports parted ways with Rascal, Youngjae and Ggoong
Gen.G Esports has announced plans to part ways with players Rascal, Youngjae and coach Ggoong. Both the player and the coach have become free agents as their contracts with the organization have come to an end.
"We would like to thank Rascal, YoungJae and Coach Ggoong for the contributions they have made to the team and for the dedication they have shown while working with Gen.G Esports. We wish them the best of luck wherever they go."the organization wrote in a press release.

Rascal joined the team at the end of 2019, while Youngjae only moved from Gen.G Challengers to the main roster in July 2021. Together with the team, the 24-year-old Korean player reached the semifinals of the Mid-Season Cup 2020 and 2021 World Championship, won the LCK Regional Finals 2020, and also finished 5th-8th at the 2020 World Championship.
In turn, Ggoong has led Gen.G Esports since November last year. Under the guidance of a 28-year-old specialist, the team spent a wonderful season, taking silver and bronze at LCK Spring 2021 and LCK Summer 2021, respectively.
