The fight against players leaving League of Legends matches continues

Riot Games announced the introduction of a new penalties system for League of Legends players that interfere with normal play by staying idle or leaving matches early. The updated system was announced on the official blog of the eSports discipline.

Previously, for AFK or early exit, the developers punished violators with an increased waiting time for searching for matches. In their opinion, this motivates the attackers to correct themselves, but the system can be made even better, and at the same time, the number of violators can be reduced. Now the most toxic players will be completely removed from the game. The more they boycott, the more they will receive the punishment. If users left the game or were AFK only 1 time, then next time they are not in danger. Thus, Riot Games admitted the likelihood of a poor quality of the player's connection to the server or left a concession for those who turned off the lights or the Internet. If the series of violations is long, then users will be banned for 1 day, 3 days, a week and even 2 weeks. In addition, each game will have a 15 minute delay before searching.
