Screenplay is being written for the film adaptation of Protal

Director, Writer and Producer JJ Abrams (Star Wars: Skywalker Rise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, LOST) spoke with IGN to hint at the development of the Portal film adaptation. According to Abrams, at Warner Bros. now they are working on the script for the future film.

Now at Warner Bros. the script for the Portal movie is being written and we are happy with the intermediate results. So there is a feeling that the project is finally on track.

However, more information about the potential development has not been disclosed. It is not yet clear who is responsible for writing the script, and it is not known what other specialists were involved to create the project.

Abrams' company Bad Robot Production entered into a partnership with Valve back in 2013. However, everything stopped at the partnership, since since that time not a single adaptation of the popular Valve games has seen the light.
