Rumor: A possible release date for Overwatch 2 has emerged

Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch 2 shooter may come out in winter 2024. The estimated release date for the game is shown in leaked screenshots of the sequel's presentation, which have appeared on social networks and on Reddit. Note that Blizzard introduced Overwatch 2 back at BlizzCon 2019.

Blizzard Entertainment did not comment on the information leak, but fans have already split into two camps. Some do not believe the merged images and claim that the date could be easily drawn in any graphic editor. Others believe that such a release date is justified, given the scale of the game and the complexity of development due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Previously, insiders have already reported that Overwatch 2 will definitely not be released until the end of 2021. Blizzard representatives in the financial report to investors clarified that Overwatch 2 should not be expected until 2022, assuring that the release date may change in the future.
