What to expect from LEGO Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga?

In a recent interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, I spoke with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's Lead Hub Designer Don McDiarmid. During the conversation, Don shared some details of the upcoming project in the Star Wars universe.

First of all, it's worth mentioning that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will tell the events of the entire movie saga, which includes 9 films. To do this, over 800 characters will be recreated in the game, and they will play for 300 of them.

The game promises a vast open world with a bunch of activities. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will recreate 23 planets with 28 unique locations. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will also boast randomly generated space battles.

The release of the LEGO game in the Star Wars universe was supposed to take place back in 2020. However, the situation with the coronavirus pandemic forced the creators to postpone the project, and the new release date was 2021. The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One.
