Filming on Borderlands movie to begin soon

The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke with Adam Goodman. Goodman is the head of the largest Hungarian film group MidAtlantic Films, which helps foreign studios with filming in Hungary.

According to Adam, Lionsgate, which is working on a film based on the famous video game series, is on the list of such studios. It's about Borderlands starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart. MidAtlantics Films have already set aside filming space for Lionsgate and should begin filming soon.

It is noteworthy that the production process started back in 2015, but news about the work on the film began to surface relatively recently. So, for example, it is known that the director's chair will be taken by Eli Roth, who directed "Hostel" and "The Mystery of the House with a Clock," and Craig Mazin, who worked on "Chernobyl" for HBO, will act as the main screenwriter.
