Mortal Shell has a release date

Cold Symmetry, the company behind Mortal Shell, announced that their souls-like action game will be released on August 18th. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One as well as PC. On PC, Mortal Shell will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.

Although Mortal Shell resembles Dark Souls as much as possible, the game still has some features. The main one is the "absorption" mechanics. The player will be able to control the bodies of fallen enemies, using their skills and pumping their characteristics.

The beta test of Mortal Shell lasted the whole of July. During this time, over 350,000 users have tried the game. The same users noted that despite the interesting mechanics of "absorption" and other advantages, the game needs improvements. The players have the most complaints about the controls, however, this is a standard problem for souls-like action movies.
