Dying Light 2: Stay Human Unveils Ambitious Content Roadmap for Prolonged Support and Exciting Additions

Ця стаття доступна наступними мовами

Techland has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for Dying Light 2: Stay Human, promising extensive support for the post-apocalyptic action RPG. This announcement came after the release of Dying Light 2 update 1.12.2, which addressed several bugs and made in-game store changes based on player feedback.

As the 20-month anniversary of Dying Light 2 approaches on October 4, Techland is committed to providing ongoing support for the game. The sequel can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three other players, and the cooperative mode played a significant role in the game's initial success. Dying Light 2 achieved three million players in its first weekend, although it currently has fewer daily active players on Steam compared to its 2015 predecessor.

Despite this, Techland is dedicated to extending Dying Light 2's lifespan. The late September content roadmap trailer highlighted several significant changes in store for the game, including new missions, additional board requests, and the introduction of a Nightmare difficulty mode. Players will also have the option to replay any of the game's 12 GRE Anomalies and experience a new Tower Raid mode.

Additionally, the trailer revealed that characters Tolga and Fatin from the 2015 original game will make appearances in Dying Light 2. The Xbox Series X/S version of the game will gain the ability to adjust the camera's field of view, and various graphics settings, such as bloom and motion effects, are planned for improvement.

The roadmap also promised new enemy types, additional executions and finishers, and the inclusion of new weapon categories like knives and polearms. Quality of life enhancements for the weapon and mod crafting system are in development, along with expanded character customization options and text chat functionality. Additionally, Nightrunner Tools will carry over to Dying Light 2's New Game Plus mode to address a common player request.

Although the trailer did not specify release dates for these updates, the first wave of additions seems imminent, particularly as the roadmap includes Halloween and Winter events, with the former expected to arrive in late October to align with its theme. Techland's commitment to enhancing Dying Light 2: Stay Human demonstrates its dedication to the game's future.
