According to the latest reports, the development of the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is set to begin in 2024

CD Projekt RED has announced that they are working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. During an investor meeting, the studio revealed that the development of the game, codenamed Project Orion, will begin next year. However, the company's plans for 2024 only include the research and development (R&D) phase, so the release of Project Orion is not expected in the near future.

Cyberpunk Orion aims to unleash the full potential of the franchise established by Cyberpunk 2077 and will be developed by CD Projekt RED's North American division, which was formed through the merger of Vancouver studios and a new Boston team.

Over 500 developers, whom the company plans to hire for the creation of Orion, will be guided by the core team that has already gained experience working on Cyberpunk 2077.
