Polium introduces a Web3 gaming console powered by a blockchain system
Polium presented an unusual game console, which, unlike other similar devices, will work on the blockchain system. The console will use various blockchains such as Etherium, BNB, Solana, Polygon, Eos, Harmony, Wax and Immutable.
Among the innovative technologies Polium promises to use the multi-chain system for the following things:
Безкоштовні дорогоцінні камені, а також щоденні, щотижневі та щомісячні бонуси!
- payment
- trading
- exchange of things
- game downloads
- metaverse and applications
- buying and selling NFT tokens and in-game items
- checking the leaderboard, checking transactions and game activity
- constant contact with your friends through messaging and voice chat
Polium reports that development is being carried out in several programming languages at once: JavaScript, C ++, Python, C #, Java and HTML. The Polium One gamepad will have a TouchID sensor that allows you to carry out actions using your fingerprints, and a wallet button will be added through which you can conduct transactions without leaving the game. There will also be a touchpad, similar to what was implemented on the PlayStation consoles, and other interesting details.
According to the roadmap published by the developers of the device, the Polium Pass will first be released in 2022, then the PFP airdrop will be implemented, after which token holders can start them for staking. 2023 will start with the issuance of game tags and later the SDK for game developers will be published. The final stages will take place in 2024, at the beginning of which the Chrome-based Polium Wallet system will be implemented, and later the console itself will be released. The developers report that the console will be the first to receive the holders of their tokens, and the public release will take place in 2025. The authors cannot yet name the list of games that will be supported on Polium One. The list with the first titles will appear on the Polium Discord channel. Consoles will not be sold in Russia, Belarus, Crimea, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan and the Philippines.
So far, Polium One does not look like a direct competitor to such titans as Xbox or PlayStation or Nintendo Switch and other consoles. Moreover, the idea of selling their NFT tokens and releasing their assets to holders leads to not the most comforting conclusions. We will wait for new news from Polium and watch the development of the game console, if it eventually takes place.
