Steam in China - everything
According to users, the global version of the Steam service has been blocked in China. From now on, neither the digital store nor the community pages are available to players from the "Celestial Empire". Currently, there is only a dedicated client with a limited selection of games in the country.
Recall that earlier this year, Valve launched a local version of the platform called Perfect World, which is still available to Chinese users. The Chinese version of Steam currently includes 68 different products, including Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Various sources point out that providers have begun to block access to Steam and APIs, however, a number of internal domains, as well as partner sites, are still working, but they too may soon be closed.
Developers and people familiar with the industry report that a global Steam ban in China could have serious implications for the country's industry. As players expect, the number of Chinese people in multiplayer games will decrease. At the same time, the SteamDB portal states that this is not a blocking of Steam, but a temporary problem with providers in the country.
