Adekvat on Xiao8 Situation: “The Organization Beautifully Comes Out of the High-profile Scandal”

Famous Russian-speaking commentator Rustam 'Adekvat' Mavlyutov, who, by the way, has a lot of knowledge about the Chinese Dota scene, commented on the recent scandal involving PSG.LGD. In his opinion, the club coped with the difficulties as well as possible, and the timing for the investigation and suspension of Xiao8 was just perfect:

LGD and the Commission for the Supervision of Observance of Fair Play it created did not find anything criminal in xiao8's actions. If someone disagrees with their decision, they can send a refutation letter. Otherwise, the coach will return to his duties and work with the team from the first DPC games.

According to Adekvat, few people can really be surprised at such a turn of events, because if the club were confident in the participation of their coach in fake matches, they would say goodbye to the mentor “quietly and without loud statements”:

Then the ex-wife of Zhang Ning said that the PSG.LGD coach had cheated on her and made bets on fake matches in which his team's players took part. The hackers did not sit aside and hacked into the account, which seems to belong to Xiao8, where 2,444 bets were found. It is noteworthy that betting was also implemented for those matches in which PSG.LGD actually took part, which alerted the audience. Consequently, it was decided to conduct an investigation in order to confirm the guilt of Xiao8 or to justify him and return him to direct duties.

The first match in the new Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 season with the participation of PSG.LGD will be held on January 3. Zhang Ning's charges will compete against Team Aster.
