FACEIT and Riot Games began to separate players from Russia and Ukraine in the search for matches
According to the Gameinside portal, the FACEIT platform and the developer Riot Games began to separate players from Russia and Ukraine in the search for matches in CS:GO and VALORANT, respectively. At the same time, FACEIT and Riot Games have not publicly announced the introduction of restrictions in matchmaking.
The FACEIT tournament platform did not comment on the situation in any way, however, a number of users note that over the past weeks, when looking for teammates, they have not come across players from Russia if you are Ukrainian, and players from Ukraine if you are Russian. At the same time, Ukrainian players add that because of this, the search for teammates has become much longer, and the teams are less balanced, however, the toxicity has become much less.

It is noted that a similar situation is observed in VALORANT. Players report that recently, when searching for matches, Ukrainians get into teams with Poles and players from other European countries. At the same time, Riot Games did not make official statements about this, but earlier the developer suspended all its regional competitions in Eastern Europe for an indefinite period. As a result, most Eastern European League of Legends and VALORANT teams have disbanded or gone on hiatus.
However, users have already found a way to bypass covert search filtering. Some players report that they are sometimes teamed up with players from a nearby state. They note that the filtering is based on the flag of the country, that is, a Russian can get into a team with a Ukrainian only if he changes his flag to any other than the Russian one in his profile.
