ESEA suspends trainers found using camera bug for two years
Tournament platform ESEA, owned by ESL, has decided to suspend coaches found using a new camera bug for two years. The corresponding statement appeared on the official website of the platform.
It has come to our attention that some specialists from several league divisions have recently abused a coaching glitch that allowed them to freely roam the map rather than fixate on watching a specific player on their team. We have currently issued several 2-year bans for those who abused the bug and are withholding any prize money while this investigation continues. We have referred this case to ESIC and are open to adjusting the suspension period as advised by them.
At the same time, our developers are implementing a preventive measure that will prevent other coaches from exploiting the same bug in the future. At the same time, we also review all of our demos and backdated logs to identify any past abuse of the bug.

If any player has any reason to suspect other coaches of this type of bug who are not currently suspended from our competitions, please contact us.
Recall that during ESEA Cash Cup: Europe - Spring 2022 #4, some players suspected the coaches of opposite teams of using a bug that allows them to move around the map. At the beginning of the game, the specialists rejoined the server, thereby activating the bug. They could fly freely around the map, viewing the location of rivals. The reason for the investigation was the match between 1shot and BIT eSports. During it, s0undwave- accused his colleague of using a bug. However, when viewing demos, it turned out that he himself abused the bug in some matches.
As a result of the investigation, ESEA suspended nine professionals, including s0undwave- (BIT eSports coach) and lostdf (1shot coach), as well as a number of other little-known coaches. It is reported that the data for the continuation of investigations were transferred to ESIC, which will understand what happened.
