HUNDEN may get unbanned by ESIC

According to the EsportFire portal, HUNDEN may get unbanned by ESIC. According to the source, the 30-year-old Dane has launched legal proceedings with ESIC to challenge the ban. As a result, the Commission did not find hard evidence, which led to the termination of the case in a pre-trial order and soon ESIC will apologize to the former Heroic coach.

Initially, HUNDEN got into a coaching scandal provoked by the use of a camera bug. As a result of the proceedings, the 30-year-old specialist was banned for a year, but later this period was reduced to eight months for his assistance in the investigation. However, in the summer of 2021, HUNDEN was hooked for the second time.

First, there was information that the Heroic coach would miss IEM Cologne 2021. It was later revealed that HUNDEN shared a folder with a direct competitor that contained confidential information about Heroic tactics. The organization immediately removed the specialist from work and sent a complaint to ESIC.

Later, the players of the Danish team will release a video in which they confirmed all the accusations against their former coach. At the same time, HUNDEN himself began a response process in which he claimed that the players knew about the use of a coaching bug, and some even took a direct part in this.

However, ESIC brought the matter of passing confidential information to the opponent to the end, issuing a two-year ban on HUNDEN from participation in events held by partners of the Commission. As ESIC mentions in their report, they investigated the situation through various sources and methods, which led to sufficient evidence to make a decision.

Later, HUNDEN himself brought legal charges against ESIC to challenge the two-year ban. According to sources, based on the burden of proof that was in the hands of ESIC, there was not enough conclusive evidence for a ban, which led to a pre-trial dismissal of the case. Sources also mention that this will result in the coach being unbanned and an official apology from ESIC.
