G2 Esports VALORANT player accused of deliberately losing ranked matches

Ця стаття доступна наступними мовами

A well-known content maker in the VALORANT community and part-time former pro-player Travis 'tdawgg' Regan accused the current G2 Esports player Francis "OXY" Hoang of fake matches. The first released a “video investigation”, and later there was a skirmish on Twitter.

The local scandal began with Travis 'tdawgg' Regan's Twitter, where in one of his posts he accused OXY of deliberately losing ranked matches on one of his alternative accounts when broadcasting such matches on Twitch. Also, the former pro-player recorded a 40-minute video that indirectly shed light on what was happening.

For several weeks, 'G2 LFT OXY' has been leaking ranked games on their alternate account 'BTS V STAN'.

According to tdawgg, OXY deliberately trolls his teammates at the beginning of the match, does not take what is happening in the game seriously and deliberately spoils the game for his teammates. However, the content maker is sure that the player will go unpunished due to the recent transition to G2.

Why run around aimlessly saying that the game is over in the first round, not communicating with your teammates who are actively trying to win? Why make fun of them and troll them when they screw up or shoot badly? You are part of the challenge of ranked play in VALORANT.

In response to accusations from tdawgg, OXY showed a screenshot of recent games and reminded him that he is ranked 35th in the rankings on his twink account, which could hardly be achieved by deliberately leaking matches.

Other well-known personalities of the North American VALORANT also took part in the skirmish between the YouTuber and the player. ShahZaM and dapr stood up to defend their teammate.

It is not yet known how the local drama will end. In theory, Riot, who are known for their zero tolerance policy towards unscrupulous players, can intervene in the matter, but the scale of the "scandal" is not enough for such a turn of events.

Recall that G2 Esports presented their updated VALORANT roster in December last year. "Samurai" will try to conquer the North American region after not getting into the partner league.
