Marvel takes a break from competitive VALORANT
Marvel, a former OpTic Gaming player, is set to take a break from competitive VALORANT. The 22-year-old Canadian esportsman announced this on one of his recent streams, noting that he did not intend to move to Los Angeles due to personal problems and burnout.
I want to stay at home, I don't want to move to LA just yet, that time hasn't come yet. I have things to do that I need to take care of at home. I have obligations. What you guys don't understand is that last season was pretty exhausting. I've played enough matches. For franchising, you need to move to Los Angeles, and now is not the time for me to do that. I'm still young.
Due to the burnout feeling, my current life situation with family, friends and loved ones, and the fact that I have to travel a lot, I decided to take a break right now. It doesn't mean I'm done.

Marved made a name for himself as part of OpTic Gaming, where he moved from FaZe Clan last summer. In a season and a half, the 22-year-old Canadian esports player became the champion of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, and also got into the TOP-3 at the end of VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen and VALORANT Champions 2022.
However, the OpTic Gaming organization was not included in the final list of partners to participate in VCT 2023 in America. After that, the North American club allowed its players to consider individual offers.
Note that at the time of writing, only yay, who recently moved to Cloud9, found his "place in the sun". Well, the rest of the team is still negotiating and is only preparing to move to new clubs.
