100 Thieves CEO Explains Why Club Didn't Sign Yay
Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, CEO of North American esports organization 100 Thieves, explained why the club didn't sign yay to the VALORANT roster. On his broadcast immediately after the announcement of the signing of Cryocells, the functionary spoke about negotiations with the OpTic Gaming star.
In the end, I think everyone will agree that yay is probably the best player in the world, or one of the best. It would be foolish not to sign yay to your team. It was not a matter of cost, it was not a matter of common understanding between us on the idea of working together. We just think Cryocells is probably the best fit for the rest of the team at the moment.
yay is basically fucking michael jordan. This guy has dominated VALORANT for the past two years and I think any team that gets yay will be very happy with their investment. And if there was a world where Cryocells didn't fit 100 Thieves, I would jump at the opportunity to work with yay.

Cryocells fits the team. He's 19, this is his first competitive game, and he's already playing at that level, so with the right investment of time and resources that 100 Thieves have, he'll one day be able to compete against yay for being one of the best, at least in his position.
Recall that on the eve of the organization 100 Thieves announced the signing of a contract with Cryocells. The 19-year-old American player replaced Will, who moved to the inactive list. The North American club is expected to return to the transfer market yet, as another star TenZ is linked with 100 Thieves.
100 Thieves has partnered with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem alongside Sentinels, Cloud9, NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports and KRÜ Esports.
