Shawn left Gen.G Esports
North American esports organization Gen.G Esports has announced roster changes for VALORANT, parting ways with Shawn. Recall that the 20-year-old American esportsman has represented the colors of the club since October 2020.
We have mutually agreed to part ways with Shawn and appreciate all the time and effort he has brought to our VALORANT roster. We wish him only the best for the future.
Shawn joined Gen.G Esports at the end of 2020 after moving from Team Serenity. For a year and a half, the 20-year-old American player helped the team win the Pittsburgh Knights Before Christmas, as well as get into the top three at the JBL Quantum Cup, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters, Proving Grounds $20k - Spring 2022 and Knights Gauntlet 2022: Weekly #5.
It was a difficult decision, but I decided to leave the team. I learned a lot from my teammates and the coaching staff. I wish them all the best for the future. I am looking for a new home where I can continue to improve.
However, the start of the new season can hardly be called successful for Gen.G Esports, as the team failed all the qualifications for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Challengers, effectively depriving themselves of the opportunity to go to international championships.
Currently, the North American team is playing in the MCT - MEL Valorant Premiership - Season 3 Stage 1. It is reported that the team will be supplemented by snirot and Lear.
