Team Vitality has made changes on the coaching bridge
The French esports organization Team Vitality has made changes in the VALORANT coaching staff, removing Tanizhq from the post of head coach. The 24-year-old British specialist has been suspended from the team until the end of the investigation, while Gorilla will take his place.
We regret to announce that due to the situation that happened yesterday on Twitter between our head coach and another member of the VALORANT community, we have decided to release Tanizhq from his position until further notice.
We are having constructive discussions with the leadership of Riot Games and Freaks4U in order to have a complete understanding of the situation and its context. We fully support the investigation, cooperate and will wait for the final results and agreement with all stakeholders before making a final decision.

We are very clear that we cannot tolerate inappropriate and excessive communication from a member of our coaching staff. We have a responsibility to make professional esports an inclusive and respectable environment, and we take that responsibility seriously.
But we also see that excessive toxicity directed at individuals can end up causing the wrong reaction. There is a lot of pressure on professional players and staff, and what may seem like humor to most may be perceived by someone as a personal insult. We will continue to actively fight toxicity. We expect all teams, tournament operators and publishers to fight by our side with the same sense of responsibility.
For now and until further notice, Gorilla will be the head coach of our VALORANT team.
The Tanizhq controversy erupted a few days ago on Twitter when a 24-year-old British specialist called the ZE1SH a "cockroach" and posted the middle finger. Immediately after that, the Team Vitality coach deleted the messages and closed the account, but the conversation still became a subject of publicity.
Recall that Tanizhq headed Team Vitality in early April. In two months, the 24-year-old British specialist helped the team reach the playoffs of VALORANT Regional Leagues 2022 France: Revolution Stage 2.
From now on, Team Vitality's VALORANT roster is as follows:
- ceNder.
- BONECOLD.
- baddyG.
- H1ber.
- nataNk.
- YoZeii (bench)
- Gorilla (head coach).
