Bonkers became the champion of VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022: Stage 1

The VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022: Stage 1 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from January 28 to February 20, eight teams from Oceania fought for a prize pool of $17,974, precious VOT Points, and a ticket to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers. The winner of the tournament was the Bonkers team, which outplayed ORDER in the grand final with a score of 3:1 (Fracture - 4:13; Breeze - 13:8; Bind - 14:12; Icebox - 13:9).

The tournament for the future winner began with a difficult group stage, during which Bonkers outplayed Honey Badgers (2:1) and Funcrew (2:0), but failed to cope with ORDER (0:2) and fell back to second place. Nevertheless, the Australian team made it to the playoffs, where they lost to Iconic (0:2) in the quarterfinals, falling into the lower bracket.

However, here the team returned to the game, having managed to outplay Crimas Disciples (2:0), Honey Badgers (2:0), Funcrew (2:0) and Iconic (2:0), thanks to which they made it to the grand final of the championship. At the same time, the final game was not in favor of Bonkers, which lost on the first map to ORDER. And yet the team managed to pull themselves together and closed the next three maps, thus obtaining a sensational victory over the favorite.

• 5th place: Mindfreak - $1,078 + 4 VOT Points
• 6th place: Honey Badgers - $1,078 + 3 VOT Points.
• 7th place: Crimas Disciples - $719 + 2 VOT Points.
• 8th place: MEOW MEOW - $719 + 1 VOT Points.
