Evil Geniuses completes VALORANT roster

North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has completed the VALORANT roster by signing jawgemo, Reformed and YaBoiDre. With the updated roster, the team managed to debut at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers - Open Qualifier 1, having won two wins over Asian Ravioli (2:0) and Valkyrie (2:0).

The main signing of the team was YaBoiDre. The 21-year-old American esportsman spent his last season with Luminosity Gaming, winning the Nerd Street Gamers - Winter Championship, and finishing in the top three at the NSG x Complexity Invitational, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 1, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 and VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2.

Interestingly, there was no place in the Evil Geniuses roster for YaBoiDre's former comrade from Luminosity Gaming — aproto. Instead, the team decided to invite jawgemo, who spent the last months in the T1 Academy.

The last recruit of the team was Reformed. The 18-year-old Canadian cybersportsman spent the second half of last season at YFP Gaming, winning with the NSG: Summer Championship - Open 10 club. At the same time, the player has already passed the trial period in Evil Geniuses, in particular, having reached the finals of the Valorant Midwest Showdown.

The next test for the updated Evil Geniuses roster will be the game against T1 in the 1/16 finals of the open qualifier for VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers.
