The VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022: Stage 1 kicks off today, January 28. Eight teams from Oceania will compete for a prize pool of $18,066, VOT 2022: Championship Points, and a ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2022: APAC Stage 1 Challengers Playoffs, which will will go to the winner. VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022: Stage 1 Format

The championship will begin with a group stage, according to the rules of which eight participants are divided into two equal quartets. The group stage will be held in a round robin format, that is, each team will play three matches in the BO3 format.

At the end of the group stage, all teams will advance to the playoffs, forming a double elimination bracket. At this stage of the championship, the matches will also be held in the BO3 format. The only exception is the grand final, which will be held in the BO5 format.

• 1st place: $6,504 + 10 points + APAC Playoffs seat

• 5th place: $1,084 + 4 points
• 6th place: $1,084 + 3 points
• 7th place: $723 + 2 points.
• 8th place: $723 + 1 point.

VALORANT Oceania Tour 2022 Top Favorites: Stage 1

The main favorites of the championship are ORDER and Chiefs Esports Club. Both teams have strong, by the standards of their region, squads that performed successfully last season. At the same time, ORDER is the champion of VALORANT Oceania Tour 2021: Championship, while Chiefs Esports Club is the silver medalist of the last championship.

The main difficulty for the teams is the lack of playing practice, since ORDER and Chiefs Esports Club have been absent from the scene since October last year, having to miss VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier. And yet, the teams are seriously ahead of all other competitors in the championship, so the main struggle for the first line will unfold between ORDER and Chiefs Esports Club.
