Team Liquid leaves the PUBG discipline
The European esports organization Team Liquid has announced their retirement from the PUBG discipline. The club was reportedly dissatisfied with the current developments in the competitive scene. As a result, the Liquids agreed to disband their roster and leave PUBG.
This is a bittersweet post for Team Liquid as we announce the end of our time in PUBG. We know this might come as a surprise given our roster's scheduled appearance at PCS7 this September, but we've spoken to the players. Both the team and the staff knew that this would happen from August 4 (and knew that it was possible from January). The team will still be in this tournament, but looking beyond PCS7, the PUBG esports landscape has changed in a direction we can't follow.
As an organization and an esports team, we are driven by the financial realities of the scene, and as this industry grows, it changes as well. These changes - in esports, business, and even international markets - mean we have to leave PUBG. We've been in PUBG for 5 years now, going back to the days when Battle Royale was untested, unproven and constantly questioned. At the time, we were working with players, fans, casters, and others to create a great community within the discipline, and we are not happy to leave it.

Team Liquid unveiled its first PUBG roster back in 2017. Since then, the club has changed several rosters that have managed to bring the victory tag to StarSeries & i-League PUBG Season 2, Polaris Series 2018 and PUBG Europe League 2019 - Kick-off Cup.
This is the bitter end of why we are here. The nice side is that we had 5 years of great years and achievements with our PUBG team. 5 years is really worth celebrating. With so many adventures and events behind us, we want to relive Team Liquid's time in PUBG and send this team on a high note as they look to the future.
In addition, during its existence in the discipline, Team Liquid got into the TOP-3 according to the results of PUBG Global Invitational 2018 - TPP, UBG Global Invitational 2018 - FPP, FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic and PUBG Europe League 2019 - Phase 3. In total the organization and its players won just over $1,300,000 in prize money.
It is likely that the European team will finish PUBG Continental Series 7: Europe - Playoffs unchanged, after which the players will make decisions individually.
The latest Team Liquid PUBG roster is as follows:
- Jeemzz
- mxey
- clib
- vard
- Fuzzface (coach)
