Heroic Tavern Brawl Announced!

Heroic Tavern Brawl is an exciting announcement for experienced pros and newer players alike. It proposes an interesting matchup system very similar to Arena, only utilizing constructed decks. Players will bring whatever Standard deck they want into this gamemode, and compete against others for 12 wins, but like Arena, with 3 losses, you’re out!

Also like Arena, this comes with an entry fee – of 1,000 gold, that is, or $10 USD. Now, that is expensive. For a price like that, rewards should be off the charts then, right? Thankfully, they most certainly are. Generally, hitting 5 wins is considered breaking even, with decent returns that generally come pretty close to 1,000 gold in value. But if you get better wins, say, 12, the rewards are nuts. And by nuts, I mean guaranteed 3 Golden Legendary cards, plus 50 packs and heaps of dust.

That enough to make you consider the 1K gold investment?

When exactly this Brawl will drop isn’t stated yet, although the Hearthstone Twitter page has said it will be ‘soon’. Many pros are excited for this Brawl because it provides a much more competitive environment, with players who understand that aspect, as well as a serious prize ‘pool’ to contest for. For a while, players have been requesting a tournament format through the game, and this might be it – or, at the very least, a test for one.
