Rumor: A unique difficulty mode may appear in Resident Evil Village

According to rumors circulating on the Internet, an unlockable difficulty mode will appear in Resident Evil Village, which will offer players some gameplay features.

Dusk Golem, who previously disclosed the correct information about the game prior to the official announcement, revealed that the eighth installment in the series from Capcom will have an unlockable difficulty setting that will randomize the placement of enemies and items. This mode will also scale up to make the gameplay more difficult.

While the arrival of a new difficulty mode in Resident Evil Village has yet to be confirmed, it's likely that players won't have to wait long to hear confirmation from Capcom. Two days later, on April 15, the Japanese publisher will be hosting another Resident Evil Village demo, which will show more gameplay and will likely show a new playable demo that has already been uploaded to PlayStation Network.

Resident Evil Village launches on May 7 worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One.
