Netflix will make an animated series based on Splinter Cell

Derek Kolstad, best known for his work in the film John Win, is reportedly to be executive producer and chief writer for the Splinter Cell animated series. In addition, he wrote the script for the film adaptation of Just Cause, but the release date of this motion picture is still unknown. The production of the animated series will be handled by the famous streaming service Netflix.

Variety, citing their personal sources, reported on the upcoming 16 episodes based on the NSA agent game. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is a stealth action game series overseen by American writer Tom Clancy. The main character is played by Sam Fisher, an agent of the fictional NSA unit. Whether he will become the main character in the animated series or not is currently unknown.
