The adventurous indie game "Wizard with a Gun" is now accessible on various platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Steam store.

"Wizard with a Gun" is a cooperative online game that falls into the sandbox genre with survival elements, unfolding within a perilous desert teeming with enigmatic creatures and puzzles. Players are tasked with resource gathering, weapon crafting, and personalizing their wizard character while embarking on journeys into uncharted territories. The game demands careful consideration when designing weaponry, spells, and the furnishings for your towering abode.

The inspiration for the concept of "wizards armed with firearms" stemmed from a meme featuring Gandalf brandishing an AK-47. Patrick Morgan of Galvanic Games remarked, "It's almost the very image from which everything commenced."

However, the story's origin goes beyond the Gandalf meme. The Galvanic Games development team, originally comprising just four members in 2016, spent a considerable amount of time immersed in "Don't Starve Together" and nurturing the idea of a game featuring "cool wizard gunslingers in a western-style setting, whose bullets take on the form of spells." The team managed to create a prototype of "Wizard with a Gun" in a mere week, but it languished on the shelf for several years due to the team's struggle to find a suitable publisher. Ultimately, during the 2019 GDC, they presented the game to Devolver Digital, and the two were a perfect fit, as Morgan aptly noted.

"Wizard with a Gun" has garnered commendable ratings, with scores of 75 on both Metacritic and OpenCritic review aggregators. Furthermore, the game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, based on 267 user reviews at the time of composing this material.
