Starfield Player Spends 180 Hours Amassing a Hilarious Collection of Succulents in-Game

Ця стаття доступна наступними мовами

A dedicated Starfield enthusiast has shared a video showcasing 180 hours of succulent collection within the game. Starfield, known for its vast open universe, offers players unparalleled freedom to pursue various activities. Some engage in epic space battles, while others dedicate countless hours to resource gathering, planet scanning, and interactions with non-playable characters (NPCs).

Similar to other Bethesda games, Starfield permits players to interact with NPCs in amusing ways. This includes eavesdropping on conversations, using in-game powers and perks to influence them, or even playfully manipulating their physical attributes, thanks to the game's physics system. Players can even employ their pilfering skills to pickpocket unsuspecting NPCs after unlocking the Theft Skill. Another form of NPC interaction involves pilfering items from their desks or rooms, including notepads, glass vials, cutlery, and various other miscellaneous objects scattered throughout Starfield's expansive universe. Players can freely pocket these items and store them on their spaceships.

A Reddit user named BigBootyTom has shared a video on the Starfield subreddit showcasing a remarkable collection of succulents acquired either by pilfering from NPCs or discovering them while exploring the game's world. The entire endeavor consumed 180 hours of gameplay and yielded amusing results. The video begins with the player descending into the cargo bay of their spaceship, landing in a room overflowing with succulents. The small potted plants fill the space to the point where navigation becomes challenging. Subsequently, the player employs the Anti-Gravity Field power, causing the succulents to float in the air, before swimming through them once more. Upon the player's descent from the ladder, the multitude of tiny plants tumbles to the floor, leading to a humorous scolding from the in-game character Andreja for using powers indoors.

While the clip delivers humor, it also demonstrates the impressive capabilities of the game's physics engine and the power of contemporary hardware. Although the video experiences occasional lag due to the sheer number of items on-screen, this is expected. In fact, Starfield's frame rate is capped at 30 frames per second on Xbox Series X/S to prevent potential game-breaking situations resulting from higher frame rates.
