Remedy discloses information about its intentions for two expansions for Alan Wake 2

The first expansion titled "Night Sources" is scheduled for release in late spring 2024, although Remedy has informed IGN that the final release dates may change.

As for the second expansion of the game, "Lake House," there is currently no set release date.

Both expansions will be available for free to players who purchase the Deluxe Edition of the game, but they will also be available for separate purchase.

Expansion 1 - "Night Springs"

These captivating stories transform into reality in the world of "Night Springs."You'll step into the shoes of several familiar characters from the Alan Wake universe and experience incredible events in multiple standalone episodes of "Night Springs," a fictional TV show existing within the Alan Wake universe.

Expansion 2 - "The Lake House"

This enigmatic facility, situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake, was established by an independent government organization for conducting covert research... until something went awry.Immerse yourself in the world of "The Lake House" and embark on two distinct adventures as the realities of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake once again intertwine.

It's also worth noting that Remedy confirmed this week the inclusion of a "New Game Plus" mode in Alan Wake 2. It will be included in one of the future updates after the game's release, although the specific release date is not yet established.

This mode will allow players to retain all unlocked weapons and upgrades. Furthermore, it will introduce a new difficulty level, "Nightmare," and an alternative storyline, including new manuscript pages and video content.

Alan Wake 2 has been released today for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through the Epic Games store.
