Genshin Impact updates typically comprise two banner cycles, each featuring limited characters and weapons.

The ongoing phase 1 of Genshin Impact 4.1 introduced the new five-star character Neuvillette, alongside the popular Pyro polearm user Hu Tao. While 4.1 has just arrived, official social media accounts for the game have confirmed two new characters set to join in the upcoming update.

Developer HoYoverse has officially announced that Genshin Impact update 4.2 will introduce the highly anticipated Hydro Archon Furina and the Cryo user Charlotte. Both of these characters have already played significant roles in the game's main storyline. Furina, as an Archon, is expected to be a formidable and versatile character within the Fontaine region.

A reputable Genshin Impact leaker, hxg_diluc, has shared more insights into the characters featured in the first part of update 4.2. According to the leak, phase 1 of version 4.2 will showcase the following characters:

• Baizhu: A Dendro catalyst user
• Collei: A Dendro bow user
• Beidou: An Electro claymore user
• Charlotte: A Cryo catalyst user

The community has expressed excitement over this lineup, especially as the first banner will feature both newcomers, Furina and Charlotte. Rumors suggest that Furina will possess a unique kit enabling her to summon multiple elemental lifeforms, capable of damaging nearby targets on the battlefield.

Furina's versatility is expected to be one of her key strengths, allowing her to fit into various Genshin Impact team compositions, a trait commonly associated with Teyvat's Archons.
